Super Smash Bros BRAWL!

This game is the fucking best. EVER.

Talk some stratagies, maybe issue some challanges, and hand out them friend codes!

Toon Link is growing on me... he jumps high, kicks off walls, and has adorable taunts..
But he needs a " hiyah! " kick like standard Link.

Brawl is awesome.. it's the only video game I've been playing at all since march 9th.

I find like half the character roster useless though.
Why couldn't Knuckles show up and box people out, and glide around...
( because he's third party, second party as hell.... )
But still he could of been an assist trophy..
Shadow could of been an alternate color for sonic..
but too many kids would of bitched.. so they could of made a clone character with a gun like a starfox character or something.. blah.

As you know lack of a Majora's Mask Tri-Link is my biggest disappointment.

In other news.. I made a pretty badass level exclusively for cracker launchers..
Too bad the computer doesn't understand it.. and all they do is just blast away until it's empty the second they get it... Lame.

I main way too many characters.

Ike, Marth, Sheik, Wolf, Lucario, and Sarmus.

I think thats it. I do love young link tho, i just dont use him enough to consider him a main.

That's a better line up than me..

I'm pretty much all about Link(s), Meta Knight, and Sonic.
You also know this. But perhaps our readers don't.

I just made what might be my all time favorite creation in stage builder, the other night!

Here's a picture from the editing screen.



I named it " Mount Midoriama " in honor of the famed final course in Ninja Warrior.

So there's a picture, I originally took it so I could re-make it in a different stage setting..
( ya know out of the three possible backgrounds and stuff. )

That one is the original, and out of all three that I made.. it's still my favorite.

If you ever feel like it, try and re-make it for yourself if you want it, and I never get to just send it to you.

A few of it's cool features worth noting are, the conveyer belts are pulling to the right,
so all items that fall there are pulled into the " V " platform..
That area is also good for evading a lot of character's final smashes.
Player one has the advantage as they start off at the top of the tower, all alone even in 4 player bouts.

Note the Ice blocks on some of the edges, these aren't just for show.
They maintain a " no comebacks " policy, as you CANNOT edge grab any ice.
It's still possible to survive if you get knocked too far to make it back with a clean jump,
you just have to grab the bottom, and climb your way back up.

It's a REALLY fun level. I can play it for hours and hours..
maybe because it has such versatile terrain, and you can fight anyway you want.

I've also found that almost every character has a different advantage in this level.
Sonic's most prominent on the springs, and conveyer belts..

Link's are good for bombing from the top of the tower,
shooting arrows at the bottom of the screen,
And helicopter spins in the gap with platforms in the middle.

Meta Knight can glide over the conveyer belts for quicker access to a Final Smash Ball...
And he does well around the item catcher too.

There's also a few places that are almost hidden,
for your characters with strictly horizontal final smashes, like Link or Marth, or Samus.


It's a REALLY well rounded level, so I thought I'd share it with you guys.

i finally played this game, and while i knew it is awesome, playing it made me realize it is awesomer than i thought. the first FS i ever unleashed happened on this day, and it was Toon Link's Triforce Slash, on a stage my friend created named "Death Mountain." i even helped hime unlock some stuff, like CDs and trophies. i guess my best fighters are the Links, Shiek, Ike, Marth, Lucario, Ganondorf, and Falcon, but i haven't really played long enough to know for sure.

My best characters are.. Ike, Link, Metaknight, Gannon, and Samus. Love the hell out of that game.

Okay, so I hopped on wi-fi yesterday for a while..

Since I wasn't really feeling too destructive, I thought I'd join a team battle for a change.
- Bad idea.

I got stuck with Jigglypuff like 4 times in a row.
I mean, we won... but only because of it's Final Smash on tiny levels..
( and the damn thing even killed me, it's team mate - almost every single time. )

So then after that I start running into Marth and Meta Knight on the same team,
over and over and over.. so eventually I gathered that they were probably on the same console,
all " haha, hey let's both be our best characters, on a team, and use all kinds of pre-meditated combos!! "

* Sigh * it was rough.
SO rough in fact, that I had to begin partially mastering Marth.
Counters were really the only thing that gave me enough time to get in any other kinds of attacks.

So I guess I can add Marth to my roster now.
I've also undertaken Sheik AND Zelda.
Everyone is all about Sheik, but do they want anything to do with Zelda? No.
So I'm boycotting that.
She's actually useful... under rare circumstances.
1. In large levels.
2. Around slow, or big characters.
3. And using next to NO down attacks, as they lack any magic power.

So yea...

I wish my old melee comrades, were still around.
I'd be relentlessly beating up random people on Wi-Fi team battles too.

I played really well yesterday,
but I just wasn't getting in enough finishing blows for my deserved results.
My dynamics and timing was up, and the damage was definitely there at the end of battles..
But fuckers kept stealing my KO's, which is fine.. I used to do it too, that's how you win 80% of the time.
You don't even have to be THAT good, you just have re-direct all attacks against the weakest link.

I wasn't playing that way,
I'd develop personal vendettas and go after the same one character most of the time.
I think that's the honorable way to play, but 2 minutes just isn't enough to make a stack of the same body.

I think I learned my lesson in wi-fi.
Fuck backing up your teammate, when they just kill you anyway.
And fuck honor. Kill, Kill, Kill.
