Kinda wish you lived here.... Ive been playing my guitar to your songs, and they sound sweet.
( they are sweet without me playing to them aswell ) nice man
What did you use to record? Ive been trying to find a decent program and camera but cant find anything that can stack like that.
Re: Guitarists
Thanks man, support is always great fuel for future projects!!
Soorie I don't like in FL with the rest of you kids'
But I know what you mean,
when I first started recorded little tidbits when I was like 15 all I had was a computer mic and MS sound recorder.. I'd usually just drop the mic in the acoustic guitar and play... the quality was atrocious!!
These days I just use a Line6 Guitarport.
It's just a little red thing with a volume dial, a guitar jack, a usb port, and headphone/speaker jack.
So you can plug your guitar directly into your computer, and play threw computer speakers or a headphone.

So there's your hardware. That package will run you about $100.
That's what I have, but I'm sure they have other stuff..
They make a lot of great products, that I unfortunately don't own yet.
The RiffTracker software it comes with is alright... I functioned on it, but once I got a Mac
and gained access to Garageband, I found RiffTracker to be REALLY tedious.
As for companion software, Gearbox is GREAT!!

( You do have to purchase expansion packs for about $50 a piece to actually take advantage of it.. )
Just have a look around, you'll see what I mean.

Re: Guitarists
I use a FirstAct POS-100 with a FirstAct CS-150 amp and a black amp cord and medium to heavy picks. Not that I can really play anything, but I am learning the Gerudo Valley theme.
Re: Guitarists
I think Im going to try to learn One, I can already play one of the solos and more then half the entire song.... sounds like a good idea to me
Re: Guitarists
Anyone hear of the song open your heart? some of you may know it from the popular Sonic Adventure game for the Dreamcast I think it was... A system beyond its time. Anyway, Im trying to learn it by ear, if anyone has any tabs for it, or any interest in learning it I can try to come up with some tabs for ya. Ive got most of the basics of it down, just no solo yet, because My Cry baby is busted and I dont have a wammy bar.
Re: Guitarists
Anyone know any good scales to practice for sweep picking? or good songs to practice with?
If you say DeathLok Thunder horse I will kill you -.- since thats the song I need practie for.
