I always did think that pushing lists of what's cool and what isn't for the public is a bit pompous,
but I decided to do this as a follow up to my Free Nintendo DS games Post, because these titles will cost you nothing..
and there are LOTS to choose from, so it's easy to get disoriented with all the new shitty games being released.

( in no particular order )

1. LUNAR KNIGHTS
I adored this game to pieces!!
I think it was the first game I played on my R4 card.
The gameplay is kind of like Zelda: the Minish Cap,
except you have two people to switch from..
One uses Guns, and one uses Swords!
It's a really well made game if you ask me.
You get little familiar type creatures to add different elemental types to your attacks,
and these are used for combat, and puzzles.
The character avatars were pretty nice, it has a number of anime cutscenes and I believe even a bit of voice acting.
- Thats A LOT to offer for a DS game.

2. The LEGEND OF ZELDA: PHANTOM HOURGLASS
- No explanation needed. If you like Zelda games, you'll probably love it.

3. FINAL FANTASY FABLES: CHOCOBO TALES
Lots of awesome mini-games, that will make your amorous indulgence for all that is final fantasy, swell.
It's just a cute game, I really enjoyed it.. and I'm a grown man!

4. NEW SUPER MARIO BROS.
- Again, no explanation needed. It was an instant classic.

5. HEROS OF MANA
This is basically old school warcraft for your DS..
You have your story, or leader characters..
Resource collectors/slave units..
And then Ground, Heavy, Light, and Flying unit classes, that work in a rock, paper, scissors fashion.
Your base is a flying ship, with various docking stations on most fields,
for you to traverse to as you over throw the enemy spawn!
Another cool feature I found in this game was that you can actually equip several items to your leader units.
I read a lot of bad reviews for this game, but again I personally disagreed with most of them.

6. NANOSTRAY
Just your basic old school flying ship, vertical screen scrolling shooter!
..... this game can be a wicked hard challenge for me, I haven't done much work in it at all.

7. SONIC RUSH
Kind of an ode to the 90's kid..
Think Sonic the Hedgehog 2 & 3 for Sega Genisis with polished graphics, and 3D boss battles.

8. KIRBY: SQUEAK SQUAD
Again kind of an ode to the 90's kid.
I prefer this to Canvas Curse because it's a LOT more in tune with it's roots.

9. ELITE BEAT AGENTS
I'd consider this game a much less diverse version of something like Guitar Hero, except for DS!
It's a fun tapping rhythm game, but beware this is a HUGE ROM, so be prepared to sacrifice some space!

10. BLEACH: BLADE OF FATE
Based on the adult swim introduced anime ( obviously )
It's a pretty easy fighting game, depending on how much you use the touch screen for special attacks..
I had fun with it for a little while!

So that's a top 10, to start with.

I'm sure some of you will have other games that you think are WAY better..
But honestly, I don't play anything for too long.. as I tend to be too anxious to try out new games!
I think I've only played Lunar Knights, NEW Super Mario Bros. & Heros of Mana all the way to finish out of all those...

I just got Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword, and The Final Fantasy something rings game..
But I haven't tried them yet, I probably won't anytime soon either..
I tend to neglect my DS these days.
